ISO 9001 is recognised and highly regarded around the world. When a business has an ISO 9001 certification, potential customers can be confident that they are dealing with a competent, trustworthy company who can deliver its products and services on time and with the expected quality.

CST is committed to providing world-leading products and customer service to its clients and we are confident the ISO certification will assist us in continuing to achieve these goals.

Quality Assurance

Our quality assurance programme has been developed to trace components through the production process, with a series of checks to ensure that quality standards are met at every stage. For volume orders our controlled processes and corresponding documentation ensure the finished product has consistent material and structural properties.

CST Metrix

To maintain quality and consistency, CST’s computerised system, CST Metrix, records product specifications and drawings, raw material and tooling specifications, processing parameters such as laminate structure, cure time and temperature, raw materials batch identification and finishing specifications, among other information.

CST Metrix’ quality assurance module links shop floor to production management and allows access to real time data as well as recording all relevant variables. A recent review by the Enterprise Connect programme gave our QC department top marks.

Every CST tube is tracked in the Metrix system, insuring top quality, consistently

All relevant quality data is logged and used to assure optimal quality

All products are labelled  tagged or stamped for batch identification and are quality checked and marked with a compliance sticker.

Product Testing

Understanding the properties of materials and finished components is essential to correctly engineer products that offer the ultimate in performance and reliability. This is why we have recently purchased the “Instron” testing machine, which will help us obtain accurate test data during our design stage.

Prior to dispatch, standard product testing includes visual inspection, weight testing to double check the matrix for optimum resin-to-fibre ratio, and measurement of dimensions to specified tolerance.

Products are measured and weighed to ensure compliance

Through our in-house and reputable certified outsourced testing, components can be tested for mechanical properties such as flexural strength, flexural modulus of elasticity, compression strength, tensile strength, shear strength, coefficient of expansion and water absorption or any standard and/or customer specification.
